Following their highly successful annual poetry contests over the last eleven years, the "Poetry Institute of Africa" will be staging their forty-fifth, and latest poetry competition, and will again award over R30 000-00 in prizes to poets in Africa. Any poet, previously published or not may enter this contest and be a winner. The contest is open to poets of all ages. Any verse form is acceptable and there is no entry fee. Contest deadline is 31st August 2008. The poem should be original and consist of 24 verse lines or less. As well as the opportunity to win a prize, many of the poems will be published in an attractive, Anthology of Verse.
